Ballet Instructor

Born in Mexcio City , Rebecca graduated from Ballet School at age 16, receiving the Advanced 2 Certificate from the Royal Academy of Dancing (RAD). 

Soon thereafter she joined the National Ballet Company of Mexico , (CND), WHERE she performed as ‘Chorus du Ballet” for two years and became a soloist for the next 8 years. Rebecca toured her country with the company, working with renowned choreographers and teachers from around the world performing classical and contemporary repertoire. Some of her teachers include: Matha O’Reilly, Loipa Araujo, Karemia Moreno , Michale Lland, Job Sanders, Joaquin Banegas and Fernando Alonso. She also worked for the Opera Company as a soloist for the grand ballet in Aida, soloist for Sampson and Delilah’s bacanale, as well as many other parts in Classical Operas alongside figures like Placido Domingo, Cristina Ortega and others. Her classical roles include Odette, Mirta, Raymonda, Swanilda, the Lilac Fairy, Sugar Plum Fairy, and solo parts in neoclassical works such as Serenade, Concerto Barroco, Senza, En l’air as well as solos created for her by mexican chorographers Carlos Lopez Magallon and Nellie Happee. 

Rebecca moved to Southern California in 1988, where she first worked with The Long Beach Ballet in their production of Nutcracker, and a year later she joined the Phantom of the Opera production in Los Angeles for over three years. She has been teaching and choreographing for dance schools in the Los Angeles and Orange county areas , since 1995 and in 1996 began teaching Pilates for the Pilates Center of Orange County . Every summer Rebecca goes back to Mexico to teach workshops with contemporary and classical ballet students.
